CYCLING ROUTES
ROUTE #1

COL DE L'ISERAN

70 km / 1600 m

Col de l’Iseran is the highest paved pass in the Alps!

The col has been crossed by the Tour de France 7 times in its history, most recently in 2007.

The start of the climb follows the Isere river, and only picks up in gradient past the village of Sainte Foy Tarantaise; the climb passes la Thuile and steepens a little past Tignes and the impressive dam.

ROUTE #2

COL DU PETIT-SAINT-BERNARD

70 km / 1500 m

The pass connects the French department of Savoie with the Aosta Valley in Italy and keeps lots of history.

We'll climb from the French side and as we go higher, the entire Isere river valley opens up!

The pass has been ridden several times as part of the Tour de France and Giro. The climb starts in Morgex and leads through a breathtaking mountain landscape over a distance of 26.5 km and 1260 metres in altitude.
ROUTE #3

CORMET DE ROSELEND

80 km / 1500 m
Cormet de Roselend is perhaps one of the most picturesque climbs in the area. Gentle enough to let you enjoy it and long enough to put your stamina to work.

Views change a lot as you go higher, starting with cool panoramas of Bourg-Saint-Maurice, then tacking numerous switchbacks in the forest until finally reaching out gorgeous view of the highest peaks of surrounding Alps.
ROUTE #4

LA PLAGNE

80 km / 1500 m
La Plagne is a classic climb of the prestigious pro cycling race Criterium du Dauphine. 21 switchbacks along gruelling 20k with steady 7% grade which might now sound too bad - but factor in if you are doing this in the end of a long day in the saddle!

La Plagne is feauture in 2025 L'Etape de Tour and we'll tacking it with fresher legs so that you are more familiar on the race day.
